Swapfiets is a bike membership. That means for a low, fixed monthly fee, you get a Swapfiets and we make sure it always works. Problem along the way? Hit us up via our app and we’ll fix or swap it for a new one in 48 hours or less.
We have two membership options: Flexible and Regular. With Flexible you pay a one-time joining fee and can cancel anytime. With Regular there’s no joining fee, and you’re eligible for free cancellation after the first 6 months.
No stress. Every Swapfiets membership includes free standard service and repairs in 48 hours or less. Hit us up via our app, tell us the problem and we’ll fix or Swap it for another one. If you have an emergency and you're in one of our service areas, we can come to you and fix you up on the spot.
We offer two ways to get your wheels: Pickup in store: Minimise your carbon footprint and pick your wheels up at your local store! Simply choose a date & time that suits you at sign up. Our Swappers will run you through your bike and answer any questions about your membership. This option is also the quickest. Delivery to your door: If it’s hard for you to make it to a store, we’ll organise a date & time to drop off your Swapfiets to you instead. *Please note this is only available in participating service areas. Preventing theft starts with securing your ride! All our bikes come with in-built double locks, including battery locks for our e-Bikes. Always remember to double lock your bike. If someone steals it (or you lose it) when double locked, you’ll pay a surcharge, depending on the type of bike. But don’t stress. In the unfortunate event that your bike is stolen, we’ll help you file a police report and we’ll get you another Swapfiets right away - so you can get back on two wheels in no time.
To cancel your membership simply follow the instructions and steps in the Swapfiets app. All of our memberships include a one-month notice period. If you’re on a loyal membership, you can cancel after 6 months. Once you bring back the bike we'll give it a quick tune-up and send it on its way to serve another member.
